Elite Athlete Development Programme

Prime Sports Development Trust, in proud partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport, Arts & Culture (KZN DSAC), plays a pivotal role in nurturing South Africa’s next generation of elite athletes through the Elite Athlete Development Programme (EADP).

As KZN’s officially recognised Provincial High-Performance Training Centre by SASCOC, Prime provides comprehensive support to selected athletes across a wide range of sporting codes. This includes:

Sports Science & Medical Services: Athletes benefit from cutting-edge performance testing, injury prevention strategies, sports recovery, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care.
Strength & Conditioning: Tailored training programs designed to optimize physical performance and reduce injury risk.
Coaching & Mentorship: Access to expert coaches and mentors who guide athletes through their development journey.
Education & Wellness: Holistic support that includes warm up protocols, mental preparation and wellness, nutritional guidance, and life skills development.
Through this partnership, the EADP ensures that talented athletes from diverse backgrounds receive the resources, expertise, and opportunities they need to compete at national and international levels. The Trust also hosts annual sponsor engagement talks, inviting companies and individuals to contribute to the vision of making South Africa a global leader in sports performance.
